Running Shoes
Running shoes are an important weapon in the runner’s arsenal. They come in all sizes, shapes, colors and types. Many different companies manufacture running shoes. There are kid’s running shoes, youth running shoes and men and women’s running shoes. There are shoes designed for one purpose, e.g. road runner shoes and multipurpose trainers. Some individuals buy shoes for the look; others purchase a running shoe for its practical use. Some people buy only a brand name; others buy whatever they can afford.
It is not easy to choose a running shoe from all the brands on the market. Do you go for vintage Puma running shoes or stick to the recognizable Adidas or Nike label? Do you take a chance on an unknown or brand new product or rely on an old classic? How much can you afford and is any shoe really worth all that money? More questions than answers, sometimes?
Let’s face it, Nike does have name recognition and a slick reputation backed up by some high quality products. Adidas is no slouch either. Brooks and New Balance regularly feature in the top ten favorites for specialty running stores. There are also other companies, including Saucony, Mizuno, Heelys, Aetrex and Puma.
