Swimming Events
Swimming is a sport that is loved all around the world. Some believe it to be one of the very best sports in the world as it does not require any harsh impact on the joints while working out all the muscles in the body. Throughout the years people have created many different types of swimming events that have become worldwide beloved events to strive and compete in. From high school competitions to college competitions to pro swimming competitions, swimming is a sport that continues to grow in popularity. In addition, many of the swimming events within high school, college, etc are featured in the competitive Olympic Games.
The Olympics is a very special event that is held every four years. The games include people from all over the world representing their countries in the sports event that they excel the highest in. These events range from running, to skiing to even wonderful swimming events. From the opening ceremonies where all the countries come together in the ceremonial lighting of the torch to the first welcome letter for swimming events, the Olympic Games are a historical event that is beloved all around the world.
And, from the first competitive swimming event to the last event within the Olympic Games athletes put everything into every single game. They are representing the pride of their countries and they do not want to let them down. Most athletes have trained much of their lives if not all of their lives for the events that they are competing in and they know the gravity of the situation. They will not have another chance to compete if ever for another four years. This pushes competitors to give everything they can in the moment of their competition. This makes for incredible, exciting events that you will not want to miss.

Within the Olympics there are more Olympic swimming events than people might realize. Some of these great Olympic swimming events include 200 meter freestyle, 1000 meter freestyle, 4000 meter freestyle, 200 meter backstroke, 200 meter team swimming, 200 meter obstacle event, and underwater swimming. Some other great Special Olympics swimming events also include things like synchronized swimming, relay races and diving competitions.
During the Olympic Games athletes will get the opportunity to compete in thirteen different types of swimming events. Some of the other swimming events include the butterfly, the breaststroke, and the backstroke. Many of the pools used for competition within the United States are twenty five yards wide and fifty meters long. This allows both long and short races to be held within them.
