Swimming Pool Filters
There is no doubt about it. If you have pools, you must own swimming pool filters. It is essential if you wish to operate a clean and safe pool. Filters remove from your pool the miniscule particles of dirt and filth you cannot see with your naked eye. Filters then allow the water to return clean to the pool.
The choice of what type of filter you wish own is up to you. You can select above ground swimming pool filters or pick them for your inground pool. There are, however, three different choices of a swimming pool filter system for you to make. You can select a sand filter, a diatomaceous filter or a cartridge filter. Each of the three types of filter has its own good and bad points. Each of the cartridges does the job of cleaning the pool.
Sand Filter
Swimming pool sand filters contain a special type of sand. This sand filters the water, trapping debris and dirt. The water then returns clean to the pool. A sand filter is the cheapest option of all the filter systems - even if you can obtain a swimming pool filter cartridge at discount.
The problems, however, may, outweigh the cost benefits. Any speck of dirt under 25 or 30 microns will escape back into the pool. Maintenance is wearisome. You must clean the filters once a week. The process involves wasting water. You must backwash the filter. The clean water you use will go nowhere. Therefore, this filter is not recommended for areas suffering from water shortages.

Diatomaceous Earth (DE) Filters
Diatomaceous earth filters capture the smallest specks of earth – three to five microns. They provide the cleanest pool water. They are also the most expensive of the three types of filters. As with the Sand system, cleaning involves backwashing. Furthermore, the removed sand constitutes hazardous waste in some communities. This makes disposal difficult.
Cartridge Filters
A swimming pool cartridge filter is nether the most expensive or cheapest pool filter available. A cartridge filter in swimming pools in Australia or elsewhere is a reasonable and practical way of keeping pools clean. There is very little maintenance. You simply clean or buy a cartridge replacement for a swimming pool if yours becomes useless. Replacement filter cartridges for a swimming pool are readily available. There is sometimes a replacement pool filter cartridge sale at the same swimming pool filter cartridge store where you can buy any type of filter system.
You can buy swimming pool pumps and filters in stores. You can also shop for a swimming pool filter system online. You may, whimsically, also locate a cartridge filter pool replacement in a swimming pool store or a cartridge cleaning filter for a pool in a swimming pool discount outlet.
